Adaptive Methods was formed in 1973 as Applied Hydro-Acoustic Research and quickly became a partner with the U.S. Navy in developing modern towed array sonar systems for ocean surveillance and anti-submarine warfare applications. Our core products for the navy have expanded from engineering services to include development of modern software and integrated computing hardware solutions for surveillance and tactical sonar modernization programs.
We adopted our new corporate identity - Adaptive Methods – in August 2005 to better reflect the expanded scope of the Company’s products and business values.
Today, Adaptive Methods continues to successfully execute technology transition programs that serve the Navy’s objective to transform undersea warfare capabilities. Our development and real-time systems implementation of adaptive signal and information processing algorithms provide the sonar operator with increased detection range and resolution to monitor the acoustic field.
